About Me
I am currently in my senior year at The City College of New York, specializing in UI/UX and branding design. I was born and raised in Lianjiang, China, and I speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and a little Shanghainese. My cross-cultural background has enabled me to incorporate great empathy in human-centric design to improve the lives of others. I want to integrate my culture into my work to empower the voices of minorities and to motivate others to bring their own culture into their work.
Being a mother of a three-year-old has helped me become a better listener, allowing me to understand the needs of different audiences better.
Aside from UI/UX design, I am also exploring CSS, JavaScript, 3D modeling, and animation.
I enjoy working on DIY projects with my son during my free time. I encourage him to use his imagination to create his favorite things, like pumpkins. I believe doing crafts teaches problem-solving skills. My other interests include creating abstract art, gardening, and cooking Chinese, Italian, and Japanese dishes.
